3 Effective Diets for Fat Loss
For many of us, we appear to be fighting a constant battle against our own waistlines. It seems as if we are always looking to burn fat, lose weight, and slim down in a bid to feel better about ourselves. While fat loss is certainly not as complex as some trainers try to have you believe, it is also not easy. If it was easy, we wouldn’t be in the midst of an obesity epidemic.
The main issue with losing weight is the fact that all of the foods that are bad for us seem to taste so great, whereas healthy produce tastes like stale cardboard. This is where it pays to follow the right diet plan. Diets shouldn’t simply be quick fixes, they should become lifestyle choices. Here’s a look at 3 effective diets for fat loss.
Okay, first off, we want to clarify that Paleo is not a diet aimed specifically at fat loss. Paleo is most certainly a lifestyle as opposed to a simple eating plan. Despite this however, one of the perks of following a paleo diet is the fact that you will lose weight if you stick to it. The basic reasoning behind the paleo diet is that you eat similar types of foods to those that we used to eat millions of years back when our caveman ancestors roamed the earth. Meat, fish, nuts, seeds, fruits, some vegetables, and so on, are all commonly consumed. Basically, nothing processed or farmed. The idea is that paleo allows us to eat the foods we are better accustomed to digest, and it therefore allows us to avoid food allergies and intolerances.
Up next we have the HCG diet. The HCG diet is growing in popularity every single day. HCG stands for Human Chorionic Gonadotropin. It is a hormone found naturally in the body, and in high concentrations in pregnant women. It allows expecting mothers to utilize calories more effectively so as to provide energy for them and their child. Used in low calorie diets, it is very useful because this hormone means that we can utilize fewer calories and still enjoy optimal levels of energy, whilst experiencing less hunger in the process. HCG can be administered in injection form, or in liquid drop form, though the HCG injections are viewed as more beneficial.
Last on our list we have keto. Ketogenic diets are all the rage nowadays. The idea behind keto is that you cut out carbs and force your body into ketosis. When in ketosis, the liver secretes ketone enzymes which allow the body to take existing body fat and utilize it for energy. Keto diets are not the same as the Atkins diet. While they both rely on you being in ketosis, Atkins prioritizes protein as the main macro, whereas keto prioritizes healthy fats. Ketogenic diets help you to burn fat, preserve muscle, and enjoy high energy levels. You also get to eat things like eggs and bacon for breakfast.
